Alison Glasgow

Senior Insurance Solutions Specialist & Client Service Associate

A native Dallasite, Alison originally intended to become an accountant after earning her bachelor’s degree, but she quickly found her way into the insurance world.

After college, she spent a decade working in Austin before she returned home to North Texas, and in 2007, she took an Account Manager position; she eventually became Manager of Financial Services at that company. It was there that Alison started a professional relationship with Scott Cohen, eventually joining his team at CD Wealth Management as an Underwriting/Case Design Specialist in July 2016.

“I love it here because we’re always evolving, always changing things to try to make it better. We’re always looking for ways to make the experience better for our clients and our employees.”

Alison works closely with clients throughout the insurance planning process, helping them evaluate options for life insurance, disability insurance, long-term care coverage, and annuities. She assists with proposal preparation, strategy development, and navigating underwriting requirements, with a focus on finding solutions that align with each client’s goals and circumstances.

“I like the broad scope of helping clients,” she said. “I like trying to help them get the best policy at the best price. And we’re there from A to Z. We’re not just there to get the policy and then go away.”

More recently, Alison has expanded her role to include responsibilities within CD Wealth’s Operations team. She is gaining experience across a broad range of functions, beginning with meeting preparation and the many processes that support the firm’s advisors and clients.

The opportunity has given Alison a new perspective on a company she already knows well. “Operations truly is the heart of the company,” she said. “After all these years, I’ve gained a completely different appreciation for everything the team does and how hard everyone works to support our clients.”

Another reason Alison enjoys being part of the CD Wealth family is the importance the company places on charitable giving. CD Wealth Management not only supports a variety of charitable organizations, but also allows each employee to select a charity to receive a donation on their behalf.

“This is an annual tradition that truly makes me proud to be part of CD Wealth,” said Alison, who often supports organizations serving veterans in honor of her grandfather, an admiral who served during World War II.

Alison grew up in a large, close-knit family. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking and exploring new recipes, re-learning piano, attending her nieces’ and nephew’s sporting events, and supporting charitable causes in her community.
